Flyer Approvals

The Public Information Office approves flyers from organizations that wish to send information to students and parents. Approvals are limited to nonprofit and governmental organizations that provide low-cost and free services for youth and their families. Flyers and other written materials that promote commercial, or for-profit, entities cannot be approved for distribution through students, nor should flyers contain commercial sponsorship logos.

Flyers submitted for approval should include a brief description of the program or services offered, along with contact information and the amount of any fees charged for services.

As part of the Long Beach Unified School District's efforts to protect the environment, embrace innovative technology and maintain fiscal responsibility, schools have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery using Peachjar.

Requesting Flyer Approval

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Paper flyers from outside organizations are no longer distributed in LBUSD.

All submitted Peachjar requests will be automatically routed to LBUSD for approval. District staff will review the material and approve or deny based on the standards found on this page. Once approved, the flyer will be posted online and emailed to the families at the selected school site(s).

Please note: Peachjar charges a distribution fee that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school. For information on discount pricing and flyer creation tips, please review Peachjar's Guide for Community Organizations.

For Peachjar support or questions on pricing, email support@peachjar.com or call 858-997-2117.
