College Student Aides

The Office of Equity, Engagement, and Partnerships is responsible for the screening, application process, and placement of college student aides funded out of categorical state and federal funds. College student aides provide schools valuable assistance in several areas at the direction of school staff and classroom teachers.  College student aides may be hired at a maximum of 18 hours per week (days and hours vary by school site/program).

College Student Aide

The College Student Aide Desk is currently accepting applications.

Pay and Hours:
$18.95 per hour (maximum 18 hours per week)

Job Description:
Under immediate supervision to participate in a classroom, learning center or care center, in academic, personal and/or interpersonal development, games, or instruction in related activities; and to perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:
College Student Aides must be pursuing a college degree and provide proof of enrollment as a full-time student of either current 12 units undergraduate or 6 units post-baccalaureate. 

 

College Aide - Technology Support

The College Student Aide Desk is currently accepting Technology Support applications.

Pay and Hours:
$21.96 per hour (maximum 17.5 hours per week)

Job Description:
Under immediate supervision of Information and Technology Services, perform routine upkeep of computer systems at District schools and departments; train District staff in the use of personal microcomputers and software; provide technical assistance to technology support staff and end users; perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
College Aides - Technology Support must be pursuing a college degree and provide proof of enrollment as a full-time student with current 12 units undergraduate or 6 units post-baccalaureate. Additionally, students must provide proof of current enrollment in at least 3 units of computer technology, information systems, or a closely related field required.
