School Based Mental Health
For more than a decade, the Long Beach Unified School District has worked in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and eight community mental health agencies to bring mental health services into the schools. The focus of the collaborative is to make services accessible to students and families are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges needs. To date, approximately 60 Long Beach schools are served by one of our partner community mental health agencies.
