Current LBUSD Students: The Middle and K8 School of Choice Application opens March 2, 2026.
New & Returning LBUSD Resident Students: (not currently enrolled): Enrollment opens January 8, 2026 and will be required before completing the School of Choice application. Click HERE to determine your middle school of residence which can assist you with enrollment.
If you do not live in Long Beach and want to attend a Long Beach middle school: Parents should first contact their district of residence for an Interdistrict Permit (IDP) application. Once obtained, the approved form should be submitted to the Long Beach School District using this email: MiddleIDP@lbschools.net. Visit our IDP webpage for complete details.
