Unique Learning System® (ULS)
The Unique Learning System® (ULS) Checkpoint Assessments are for students in Special Education who are in Functional Academics settings who receive instruction aligned to the Core Content Connectors.
ULS Checkpoint Assessments are standards aligned progress monitoring tools embedded within each monthly instructional unit. These assessments measure student understanding of the concepts and skills taught in the unit across multiple subject areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Life Skills.

Checkpoints
Each checkpoint is differentiated at three levels to meet the needs of diverse learners and uses accessible formats such as symbol-supported multiple choice, matching, and fill-in-the blank tasks. Checkpoint data helps educators track progress toward extended standards, guide instructional adjustments, and document growth toward IEP goals.
