Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a state-required assessment for California public schools that uses the FITNESSGRAM®, developed by The Cooper Institute, to measure key areas of students' health-related fitness. These fitness areas are linked to overall health and help protect against diseases associated with physical inactivity. The FITNESSGRAM® includes multiple options to ensure all students, including those with disabilities, can participate.
