Developing or Revising a CTE Course Outline
myPD Course #2508 Creating or Updating CTE Course Outlines
This learning opportunity provides steps and resources for creating or updating CTE course outlines using the 2013 CTE Model Curriculum Standards. The CTE standards can be found in another Self-Paced Learning Opportunity.
The CTE Model Curriculum Standards are designed to assist California districts and schools in developing high-quality curriculum and instruction to help ensure that students are career and college ready and to prepare them for future careers. The standards are rigorous, evidence-based, relevant, and reasonable in scope. They offer clear guidelines for course outline development and expectations for student achievement. Each of the 15 industry sector sections includes a description, anchor standards, pathway standards, and an academic alignment matrix (which includes CCSS).
