In addition to traditional commencement ceremonies this year, the Long Beach Unified School District celebrated its first Black Student Achievement Initiative Graduation on May 31 at Jordan High School.
The event provided students the opportunity to gather with family and friends to honor their rich heritage and students’ accomplishments.
