Student Support Staff Receive District Honors

The Office of Student Support Services at the Long Beach Unified School District recently awarded three peer-nominated accolades in recognition of their unwavering dedication and commitment to students and staff members.
Congratulations to the following well-deserving winners!
School Counselor of the Year
Michelle Koga, an attendance counselor supporting several schools across the district.
School Social Worker of the Year
Yajaira Ramos of Cabrillo High School.
School Psychologist of the Year
Loan Wendt of Cabrillo High School.
“These dedicated professionals exemplify the heart and soul of our district’s commitment to student well-being and success,” said Superintendent Dr. Jill A. Baker. “Their tireless efforts to support our students’ social, emotional and academic needs are truly commendable and are a reflection of Vision 2035’s core values and the adult portrait we strive to develop within our community.”
