Student Support Staff Accept District Honors

The LBUSD Office of Student Support Services (OSSS) presented three peer-nominated awards to District staff at the 2023 Student Support Services Symposium in May.
Honorees included Jonathan Evans of Wilson High School, School Counselor of the Year; Gabriella Tutson of Whittier Elementary School, School Psychologist of the Year; and Juan Rodriguez of Jefferson Leadership Academy, School Social Worker of the Year.
Each honoree also was recognized at the Board of Education meeting on June 7.
The Student Support Services Symposium organized by OSSS was first held in 2022. The annual professional development event features guest speakers, presentations and engaging workshop sessions.
