Stephens Middle School Celebrates Kindness on Unity Day

Stephens Middle School proudly celebrated Unity Day, a national event dedicated to raising awareness about bullying prevention, as a way to cultivate a positive and inclusive environment for students.

Stephens's student council team and staff organized festivities for students and developed video scenarios highlighting ways to be an ally and stand up against bullying.

Participants in the event wore orange in solidarity and engaged in a social experiment, where each student wrote a personalized commitment to support kindness, acceptance and inclusion. The messages were then linked together to build a chain to signify unity as a school.

One student participant wrote, "Unity Day means to me that everyone can be accepted and be themselves."

Stephens Middle School is excited to continue hosting similar events for the upcoming year.
