School Nurse of the Year

This year’s recipient of the Long Beach School Nurse Association School Nurse of the Year Award is Anamaria Fife, current school nurse at Marshall Academy.

Anamaria has been a registered nurse for thirteen years. She has worked with all grade levels within LBUSD, dedicating the past nine years to her current site, and has contributed eleven years of service to the District. She has actively participated in professional organizations, including the Long Beach School Nurses Association, where she held a board position, as well as the National Association of School Nurses and Connections for School Nurses. Her academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Long Beach City College, and a professional credential from California State University, Fullerton. She is distinguished by her exceptional qualities, compassion, courage, extensive knowledge, professionalism, sense of humor, humility, and remarkable composure amidst chaos. She embodies not only clinical excellence but also profound humanity. Congratulations, Anamaria!
