School Nurse of the Year
The Long Beach Unified School District extends its sincere congratulations to Michelle Sellers of Poly High School for being named the recipient of the Long Beach School Nurses Association's 2024 School Nurse of the Year Award.
With over 20 years of experience and a caseload of 4,000 students, Sellers has consistently demonstrated grace and professionalism in her role and is highly valued and appreciated by the Poly community.
Sellers is described by colleagues as a school nurse who goes above and beyond for her students. She is known for her humility and dedication to her students, as she not only tends to their immediate needs but also considers their social, emotional and socioeconomic circumstances. She is also praised for her effective communication with students, families and staff.
