Long Beach Poly freshman, Laila Kirk, was recently featured in an official Nike billboard in Southern California as Poly's 800-meter runner and two-time national AAU champion! Kirk comes from a family of outstanding athletes and is proud to be featured on the billboard. Congratulations, Laila! Read more here.


 

Jackie Robinson Academy and Dr. Rebecca Ngo, Dr. Rima Aboul Hosn, and Dr. Cassandra Richards were recently honored with The Salvation Army Hope in Action Award in recognition of their outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing the Salvation Army's mission. Congratulations to Jackie Robinson Academy and the entire wonderful team!

With the recent opening of the Center of Black Student Excellence, students are provided with a dedicated space to affirm their identities and receive additional academic support. The Center is located in Lindbergh Middle and offers extracurricular activities along with social-emotional learning programs. The opening has generated excitement in the community as students, families, and staff look forward to the Center's success. Read more here.
