Wilson High’s student Alumna, Gaia Clark (Diaz), was gifted a cello to help pursue her degree in Music Education. Emma Holder was named Press-Telegram Girl’s Athlete of the Week in October. The Poly Volleyball Senior helped win the Moore League meet against Millikan.
Teachers and students at Lakewood High showed support to educator Rachel Thron as she battles breast cancer. Lakewood staff wore "Thron Strong" shirts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and started a GoFundMe page to cover her medical costs. Read more here.
The Long Beach Unified School District partnered with Food Finders to support LBUSD's High School Wellness Centers. The program now serves 27,600 monthly meals to 47 LBUSD schools in need.
