CAMS Graduate Samuel Egboh

Samuel Egboh of the California Academy of Mathematics and Science’s Class of 2023 was recently named as one of three recipients of the national Ella Hall-Dillon Scholarship by Bold.org, the largest independent scholarship provider in the United States.

Funded by an individual donor, the scholarship supports first or second-generation U.S. students who are of African heritage. The application asked students to submit an essay detailing their family’s journey to the U.S. and how learning about their heritage impacted their academic journey.

The $3,470 award will be distributed evenly between Egboh and two other winners from across the country.

According to his Bold.org profile, Egboh currently attends Stanford University and aspires to become a physician-scientist.
