Pictured above, students from Grant Elementary School whose art is on display at the Long Beach Museum of Art.
Several art pieces created by students Khaleesi M., Daniel A., Itzel G., Emiliano E., and Kayla N. of Grant Elementary School are currently on display at the Long Beach Museum of Art as part of the museum’s annual Elementary Exhibition. The exhibition provides an opportunity to celebrate local pride and youthful innovation and offers insights into the vibrant life of Long Beach from the perspective of its youngest residents.
Students Roberto Ibarra and Evelyn Hernandez Lujan of Poly High School were selected as 2024 Swun Scholars by the Swun Educational Foundation. Each student will receive a $10,000 college scholarship and be inducted into the Swun Scholarship Program, which provides individualized support from a College Success and Career Readiness Coach throughout all four college years.
