Anthony League, an exceptional Millikan High alumnus, has been named the University of California, Berkeley's Jonathan & Judy Hoff Football Scholar-Athlete of the Week, a recognition of his outstanding achievements on and off the field.

League was a part of the Millikan High School football team, breaking records and emerging as one of the top running backs and linebackers on the West Coast. He received offers from several prestigious programs, including Yale, Arizona State, Brigham Young, Colorado State, Oregon State, Utah, and Washington University. League proudly committed to UC Berkeley in 2025 and began his journey as a Golden Bear.

"The recruitment process was exciting and challenging," League noted. "I'm grateful for the interest they showed in me. It was a journey that taught me a lot about myself and what I value in a college program."

At Berkeley, League maintains a strong GPA while excelling as an athlete, earning the Jonathan & Judy Hoff Football Scholar-Athlete of the Week title. He utilizes academic resources, values feedback, and consistently demonstrates self-awareness in all his interactions, rising to challenges and celebrating small victories.

Kasra Sotudeh, the Academic Discovery & Curriculum Design Coordinator at UC Berkeley, praised League's achievements. "We are incredibly proud of Anthony and acknowledge the role that the Millikan High School community has played in preparing him both academically and athletically."

League credits much of his success to his Millikan coaches, supportive parents, and a sister, whom he admires. Both of Leagues' parents, Will and TaShara, were athletes in high school and college, while his sister, Aniyah League, currently plays for the women's soccer team at the University of Michigan. "I'm very proud of what I've seen my son and my daughter become," Will League notes, "They are amazing kids, and always looking out for others. You can't ask for anything more."

Looking ahead, Anthony League aspires to play in the NFL one day, serving as an inspiration to students and exemplifying the Graduate Portrait as an adaptable, lifelong scholar who pursues his passion. Congratulations to Anthony League on this outstanding recognition!
