Lindsey Academy Teacher Recognized as Extraordinary Educator
Vanessa Mendez, an educator at Perry Lindsey Academy, has been recognized as an Extraordinary Educator for her thoughtful use of data to support student learning, her dedication to building inclusive classrooms, and her commitment to ongoing professional growth. This honor celebrates K–8 teachers nationwide who demonstrate excellence in teaching and a strong dedication to helping students succeed.
"It means a lot to be named an Extraordinary Educator, and it really validates my decision to go into teaching. Through data-informed insights, I can be an effective teacher and help my students grow and learn," noted Mendez.
The Curriculum Associates Extraordinary Educators program is held each year to honor and connect outstanding teachers who make a difference in their classrooms. Those selected as Extraordinary Educators are recognized both locally and nationally, join a supportive network of peers from across the country, and have opportunities for professional learning, including the opportunity to attend the Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit.
