Leadership Alignment Supports Efficient Operations

The District is expected to spend more than it receives in revenue for a third consecutive year. This deficit spending is primarily the result of declining revenue, while costs for employee benefits, transportation, utilities, and Special Education services continue to increase. In response, we have implemented several organizational adjustments for the 2026-27 school year, which reflect our commitment to supporting schools while exercising responsible fiscal stewardship and maintaining a strong focus on student success.

A key shift will have Assistant Superintendent Dr. Damita Myers-Miller lead the Elementary Schools Office. Chief Academic Officer Brian Moskovitz will continue to provide direct oversight to the Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development in addition to his current responsibilities with other offices.
