LBUSD Student Art Exhibit at LBMA

In November, the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) hosted an exhibition showcasing the artistic achievements of middle school students from the Long Beach Unified School District.

The “Changemakers” exhibit featured watercolor, mixed media, digital art, and collages created by 37 students across LBUSD. LBMA had received over 120 submissions, twice as many as the previous year, an impressive achievement for the students whose artwork is being displayed at the museum.

This year’s theme invited students to experiment and challenge themselves in creating ways to honor those who catalyzed change in their lives or communities. The reception included middle school participants from Cubberley, Hoover, Hughes, Marshall, Rogers, Stanford and Stephens, who were celebrated for their creativity and passion.
