LBUSD Receives Accreditation for New Credential Program
The Long Beach Unified School District has been granted its first-ever accreditation from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for its new Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) program.
The District’s new educator preparation program is designed to develop innovative, equity-centered school and central office leaders who are ready to reimagine education in support of Vision 2035, LBUSD’s new aspirational long-term vision.
The program will be available for current credentialed LBUSD employees starting in May 2024.
The Commission’s accreditation validates that the District’s program will operate in a manner that is aligned with Commission standards at all times.
LBUSD’s PASC program will operate under the District’s Equity Leadership and Talent Development (ELTD) office which currently offers more than 20 professional development programs to District employees.
