LBUSD is Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month!

aapi celebration from 2025

Join us for our 2nd Annual Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Festival at Cabrillo High School on Saturday, May 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.!

The celebration will feature student performances, live music, delicious food from local vendors, informational resources from LBUSD and our community, and more!

As part of the incredible event, we encourage all LBUSD students to participate by creating artwork to be showcased at the festival, highlighting their creativity and honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Students are welcome to create any original 2-D or 3-D artwork that celebrates AAPI Month. For inspiration, they may explore the AAPI Theme Art Choice Board or develop their own ideas based on personal interests.

Artwork submissions are due by April 29, 2026. Please mail or drop off artwork at the Cabrillo High School Office, labeled for the AAPI Art Exhibit, and be sure to clearly write the student's name and school on the back of the artwork. We also ask that students complete the accompanying Google Form.

This is a celebration of culture, community, and togetherness. Safeguards are in place to ensure a safe and welcoming event for all. Don’t miss this special community event!
