The Long Beach Unified School District proudly celebrates the Class of 2024, recognizing the hard work and achievements of every single graduate. Among these outstanding students, several have distinguished themselves by earning full-ride scholarships to prestigious universities:

  • Natalia Ramos from Millikan High School will attend Yale University.
  • Maya Islas from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) has been accepted to the University of California, San Diego.
  • Bryan Rosales Perez from Jordan High School will join the University of Southern California.
  • Synaia Bolen-Holt from Wilson High School will attend Georgetown University.
  • Catherin Calzada from Lakewood High School has been awarded a scholarship to Sacred Heart University.
  • Axel Aguilar, LBUSD student Board Member from Jordan High School, will be heading to Columbia University.

These students exemplify academic excellence and dedication. Their achievements reflect the district’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering success. While we are incredibly proud of these scholarship recipients, we are equally proud of every single Class of 2024 graduate.

“My dear graduates, the world eagerly awaits your contributions,” Superintendent Dr. Jill A. Baker said. “As you embark on this new chapter, remember that you are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; you are the architects of a brighter, more inclusive future. Embrace the challenges, seize the opportunities and never forget the indelible mark you are destined to leave on our communities and our world.”

Congratulations to all our graduates and best wishes for their future endeavors!
