Elizabeth Miranda, a student at Cabrillo High School, earned the distinguished Youth of the Year Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach for her incredible achievements.

During the organization's annual awards ceremony with over 300 attendees, Miranda was announced as the winner and received enthusiastic applause from the audience. For her leadership as a team captain of both the Cabrillo High School basketball and volleyball teams and as a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach, Miranda was a standout nominee for her hard work and dedication.

CEO of the clubs, Don Rodriguez, congratulated Miranda as she received her award that included a $5,000 scholarship. With a beaming smile, Miranda credited her family and the Boys & Girls Clubs with helping her throughout high school and inspiring her to become a nurse practitioner. Miranda will additionally compete in the Los Angeles Region Youth of the Year competition, and winners will advance to the California, Pacific Region, and national competitions.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Miranda for this fantastic achievement!
