A New Era Begins: Jordan High School Unveils State-of-the-Art Panther BLUE Stadium

The sound of cheers, music, and pride filled the air on Saturday morning as Jordan High School officially opened its brand-new Blue athletic stadium, a vibrant symbol of progress, unity, and Panther pride.

Hundreds of students, alumni, faculty, and community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating the completion of the school's state-of-the-art athletics stadium, the latest milestone in over a decade-long campus modernization effort.

A Home Built for Champions

The new stadium—built on the foundation of Jordan’s legacy—is a complete transformation of the school's former athletic facilities. Funded by Measure K, the $25.6 million project delivers a top-tier athletic environment for football, soccer, track & field, and school spirit to thrive.

Key features include:

  • All-Weather Blue Turf & Track – Durable, year-round synthetic surfaces for safe, high-performance athletics.
  • Multi-Sport Field Markings – Supporting both football and soccer.
  • 3,500-Seat Bleachers – Elevated, ADA-accessible seating for inclusive game-day experiences.
  • Modern Press Box & Digital Scoreboard – Full video playback, real-time stats, and celebratory animations.
  • Home-Side Concessions & Ticketing
  •  Dedicated Visitor Entry & Facilities
  •  New Home Team Room – Lockers, restrooms, and a large-screen AV system.

A Campus Transformed

This stadium is just one chapter in Jordan High’s incredible transformation journey. Since 2014, Jordan has undergone one of the largest school modernization projects in Long Beach history—elevating education, equity and athletics across campus.

Already Completed:

  • New classroom buildings, arts facilities, manufacturing labs
  • Modernized auditorium, library, and administration buildings
  • Campus-wide infrastructure upgrades

Coming Soon (Final Phase Construction):

  • 65,000 sq. ft. Gymnasium with competition courts, weight rooms and training facilities
  • Outdoor Competition Pool with bleachers, lighting, and concessions
  • Conversion of the existing indoor pool into an auxiliary gym
  • New baseball & softball fields and upgraded basketball courts
