TALB Bargaining Session Update

On Monday, April 7, the bargaining teams for the Long Beach Unified School District and TALB held their fifth bargaining session for the 2024-2025 school year. During this full-day session, teams continued to make progress in negotiations.

As a result of the work completed during the bargaining session, the teams reached several additional tentative agreements on contract language revisions, including:

• Compensation for Additional Assignments in Dual Immersion Programs.
• Guidelines for Change of Assignment –Teacher Support  (MOU)

Additionally, the district and TALB had productive discussions regarding several other articles and provisions of the contract.

The District remains committed to working collaboratively with TALB to reach a successor agreement. Future sessions will address key topics such as days and hours, association rights, extended duty year protocols for teachers, and safety.
