The Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education and the membership of CSEA Chapter 2 approved a School Opening Memorandum of Understanding this week.
The MOU includes the option of worksite flexibility for the following members of the bargaining unit to work from an alternate location:
- Accompanist
- Behavior Intervention Assistant (BIA)
- Behavior Intervention and Coaching Specialist
- Instructional Aide Classifications (IA)
- Instructional Aide Special Classifications
- Instructional Assistant Classifications
- Sign Language Interpreter
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Classifications
Eligible bargaining unit members who choose an alternate work location are required to electronically submit a Classified Employee Alternate Work Location Agreement and receive formal approval from HRS prior to working offsite. This Alternate Work Location Agreement would expire for employees assigned to sites, classrooms or students brought back for in-person instruction and/or assessment.
