Raise for CSEA Members Pending Agreement with Union Board

Bargaining teams for the Long Beach Unified School District and the local chapter of the California School Employees Association have met several times in recent months, most recently on May 6.

The school district has proposed the same on-schedule retroactive salary increases (1% for 2019-20 and 2% for 2020-21) and retroactive off-schedule raise (2% for 2020-21) that were recently approved by the Teachers Association of Long Beach and for non-represented employees. CSEA rejected the school district’s offer presented during the last negotiation session.

The school district and CSEA have agreed to continue talks related to compensation on Wednesday, June 2. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
