Welcome to Hi-Hill at YMCA Camp Oakes

The 5th grade field trip to Hi Hill at Camp Oakes is being implemented as part of the Long Beach Unified School District’s commitment to giving youth an equitable opportunity to discover the world beyond  their communities. This opportunity provides an opportunity for each 5th grade student to live and study outdoors for one school week. Research has suggested that outdoor learning is extremely beneficial in many ways.  It can boost self - confidence, self-esteem, social skills, communication, motivation, physical skills, support positive attitude toward learning and increase one’s ability to work cooperatively.

Hi Hill at YMCA Camp Oakes Registration

Registration for Camp is a multi-step process. 

All steps must be completed to finalize registration for Hi Hill at YMCA Camp Oakes

READ THE FAMILY HANDBOOK

1) Create a Family Account on the Campsite Registration System - LINKED HERE
2) Upload a picture of your child
3) Enter your school specific password +ADD OPTION
4) complete the camp specific questionnaire
5) Complete all 3 health forms
6) Receive YOUR Confirmation Email
 *Registration begins approximately 4 weeks before your student's scheduled week and
must be completed no later than 10 days before the scheduled departure date.
