Superintendent Search Process

On February 4, 2026, the Board of Education announced the creation of an ad hoc committee (Committee) consisting of President Craighead and Member Benitez to assist the Board in the Superintendent search process. The Committee will report to the full Board, who will take all actions. Further, the Board requested that the Committee obtain at least 3 or more quotes for a statewide search from search firms to bring back to the Board for review and consideration. The Board is intending to complete the Superintendent appointment process by June 30, 2026.

To keep the staff, community, and public informed of the Board’s progress on conducting its search for the next Superintendent, the Committee requested a standing item at each Board meeting to provide updates on the Superintendent search process.
