LBUSD and TALB Negotiation Update for October 30, 2025

The District and TALB resumed bargaining today in an effort to reach an agreement on a successor collective bargaining agreement. During today’s session, the teams spent time sharing information and feedback on the following topics:

  • Introduction and welcome to the new bargaining team members.
  • Reviewed the tentative agreements reached during the previous bargaining sessions.
  • The District provided a budget overview and efforts to mitigate deficit spending.
  • The District presented information on the concerted effort and information campaign to increase daily attendance rates and increase revenue received through Average Daily Attendance (ADA).
  • The District reviewed the health benefit proposals for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, designed to reduce overall costs and keep the premiums under the District Annual Maximum (DAM).
  • Discussed adjunct duty processes.
  • Discussed evaluation parameters.
  • Discussed ways to improve the efficiency of the process for information sharing.

The District is committed to continuing the negotiation process to develop a Tentative Agreement. We remain committed to resolving outstanding matters in a way that reflects our shared priorities and supports our educators and students when teams reconvene on November 18th.
