An enjoyable, healthy, educational alternative to hanging out this summer is being offered to children at local schools.
"Rock-A-Hula Summer," the 2004 Summer Recreation program of the Long Beach Unified School District, begins June 16.
Supervised activities will be offered 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for four weeks at Barton, Birney, Buffum, Carver, Cleveland,Cubberley, Gant, Garfield, Holmes, Hudson, International, Longfellow, Lowell, Madison, McKinley, Muir, Prisk, Sutter, Tincher and Webster.
Lunch will be available at no charge to children under 18 years old at all sites except Cleveland, Cubberley, Gant, Lowell and Prisk.
