The Long Beach Branch NAACP recently donated 400 gift cards to Long Beach Unified School District students as part of its 2022 Holiday Gift Card Drive.
The gift cards were distributed to kindergarten through eighth-grade students who were selected based on need. All gift cards were valued at $15 or $20.
The organization’s annual holiday drive has donated hundreds of gift cards to LBUSD students in need within the past several years. Last year, more than 300 gift cards were distributed to LBUSD elementary students, as well as students in need at Muir Academy, Cabrillo High School and the Child Development Centers.
