The 38th annual Norman Gottlieb Youth Art Show starts Wednesday, Feb. 1, and will run through Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Alpert Jewish Community Center, 3801 E. Willow St., Long Beach.
The long-time tradition features the best work of Long Beach Unified School District middle and high school art students. A public community reception and awards ceremony honoring student winners will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at the center. Learn more at alpertjcc.org.
The Long Beach Museum of Art will present an exhibition of artwork by LBUSD high school student artists in the show "Action: Art & Activism" starting Sunday, Feb. 5. The exhibition is scheduled through Sunday, April 2. Learn more at lbma.org.
