The Long Beach Unified District is one of the nation’s best employers, according to Forbes’ recent list of “America’s Best Employers by State.”
LBUSD was ranked in the fourth annual list, compiled by surveying 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. The final list ranks the top 1,382 U.S. employers that received the most recommendations.

The respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation and opportunities for advancement. Respondents were also asked how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others.
