A Phoenix Rises at Alternative High School

Teachers and students from Educational Partnership High School’s site council recently celebrated their new mural featuring the EPHS Phoenix, the mythical bird that obtains new life by rising from the ashes.

EPHS offers credit recovery and independent study as an alternative to larger high schools.  More than 400 students will receive diplomas from EPHS on June 14.

Funding for the mural came from the Superintendent’s Student Advisory budget.

"Student Emily Kebelbeck was our representative on that Advisory, and it was her participation that got us the mural," said teacher and School Site Council Chair Andrew Margolin.
