The 2017 High School Art Exhibition at the Long Beach Museum of Art continues through May 28 in the Museum’s Toyota Children’s Gallery.
An opening reception for this year’s exhibit, “Changing Views: Gender Roles,” was held last month and was attended by more than 100 students, family members and art teachers. More than 150 works of art were submitted to the museum. A jury selected 73 works to be installed. Participating schools are Cabrillo, Jordan, Lakewood, McBride, Millikan, Poly, Reid, Renaissance and Wilson high schools.
The museum is located at 2300 E. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach.
