Are you from a state (or country) outside of California?  If you do not hold a California credential or permit, you are required to obtain CTC Certificate of Clearance (COC). COC is a document issued by the CTC to an individual who has completed the Commission's fingerprint character and identification process, whose moral and professional fitness has been shown to meet the standards as established by law. For information on specific requirements needed for the California credential, please visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. When available, please also include copies of your out of state credential (front and back) and results from your states basic skills exam in your application document packet.
