The Office of Equity, Access and College & Career Readiness is responsible for the screening, application process, and placement of college student aides funded out of categorical state and federal funds. College student aides provide schools valuable assistance in several areas at the direction of school staff and classroom teachers. College student aides may be hired at a maximum of 18 hours per week (days and hours vary by school site/program).

Pay and Hours:
$16.63 per hour (maximum 18 hours per week)
Job Description:
Provide instructional support to students in a classroom or learning center (may be elementary, middle, or senior high school; Long Beach School for Adults.
Qualifications:
College Student Aides must be pursuing a college degree, must provide proof of completion of college level courses totaling 48 units or more, or completion of an AA, BA degree. Must be enrolled full time in college with at least 12 units or more, or 6 units for post-grad.

Pay and Hours:
$19.28 per hour (maximum 17.5 hours per week)
Job Description:
Under immediate supervision of Information and Technology Services, perform routine upkeep of computer systems at District schools and departments; train District staff in the use of personal microcomputers and software; provide technical assistance to technology support staff and users; perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
College Student Aides-Technology support must be pursuing a college degree, must provide proof of completion of college level courses totaling 48 units or more, or completion of an AA, BA degree. Must be enrolled full time in college with at least 12 units or more, or 6 units for post-grad. Current enrollment of at least 3 units of computer technology, information systems or a closely related field is also required.
