Board of Education meetings are televised on local cable channels and broadcasted live on YouTube. Charter Cable Channel 96 serves Long Beach and Signal Hill; Time Warner Cable Channel 35 serves Lakewood; and Verizon FiOS Channel 47 serves Long Beach, Lakewood, Signal Hill, Los Alamitos and surrounding communities. Broadcast times are noon and midnight on Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Meetings are also televised in Avalon, Catalina Island on Catalina CATV Channel 49 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. or immediately following the City Council broadcast.
