The 2008 Powell "Pi-Digits" Contest
This contest allows participation by
individual students. The student who memorizes the digits to Pi
to the furthest decimal place wins.

Preliminary
Competitions (typing digits on computer)
Students will compete by their math classes. Math teachers will hold preliminary competitions during the week of March 5. Classroom winners will be determined by March 9.

Semi-finals
(typing digits on computer)
Classroom
winners will compete on Wednesday, March 12, at 8:30 a.m., in the Computer
Lab to determine a grade level winner. The grade level winner
will be announced during the morning announcements.
Finals
(oral recital of digits)
Grade
level winners will compete during lunch on Friday, March 14, to
determine the overall winner.
