Each school year, the Office of Multimedia Services broadcasts three special programs of student poetry over the district's own closed circuit television station. The "Adventures in Poetry" program combines an exciting and humorous story built around poetry submitted by 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in the Long Beach Unified School District. Originally started in the 1960's, "Adventures in Poetry" is currently written and directed by Robert Floto. The program includes the voice talents of Bob Huber, Lauren Burns, Melanie Wallner, Steven Maleski, and Greg W. Anderson.
