Good morning and Happy Friday to all the Rams in Ramville!  This is the final  “Happy Friday” e-mail of the year.  I intend to resume this ritual in September.

The newest edition of The RAMBLER is done and  posted on our website thanks by Tom Sutfin.  Check it out.  Thanks to everyone who contributed articles.  Also, if you haven’t checked out the latest  edition of School News, Millikan took honors with the main story entitled, “Once a Ram, Always a Ram.”   Read the short “bios” on our staff members who have great things to say about returning to work at our school.

RAMSET continues to outreach for Millikan, most recently at Prisk Elementary School, where students  provided another one of their energy lessons. Thanks to Woody Williams and his pupils.

Millikan High School was involved in an historic occasion this week with international video conferencing  with students in Lebanon and high schools in New York and the Boston area. We even had a celebrity, Kathy  Najimy, participate in the conference.  Congratulations to Nader Twal, Matt Johnson, and the PEACE Academy  for taking learning and understanding to a new and different level.

Anetta Leone and her pupils were recently recognized in a recent Press Telegram article entitled, “Youth Ready  for Wall Street.” The newspaper articled stated, “Millikan High School teacher Anetta Leon’s classes regularly
finish at the top of the game, and this year was no exception.   Her classes have been playing the game for the past  10 years, and  have placed among the top three in rankings for the past six years.

Millikan’s yearbook and newspaper advisors and students are to be congratulated on their products (Aries is the  yearbook by Judy Vlastakis and Corydon is the newspaper by Pamela Cathcart).  Their products are of a particularly  high quality.

Marilyn Anania’s youngest son graduated from CSULB in Sociology last Thursday, May 25th, and her middle son  graduated with an MBA from University of San Diego on Saturday, May 27th.

Barbara Conrad is the proud parent of Jeremy, graduating recently from MIT with a degree in mechanical  engineering.  

Kyle Christensen, one of our star baseball players, was selected in the 15th round of the Major League Draft by the  Oakland A’s.

Lorene Morgan reports that Jeanette Tucker, a former Lady Ram, recently signed a letter of intent to play for the  “Lady Jags” of University of South Alabama.  

Yesterday, STELLAR Study Center tutorial students enjoyed a pizza reward party.  Jan Law and Phyllis Price  organized it.  Jan Law made Millikan Ram t-shirts with a STELLAR stars for the pupils. Prizes, 
certificates, and rewards were handed out.   It was a well attended, celebration, actually  wall to wall according to Tylene Quizon.

Since this is my final  Happy Friday eport, let me acknowledge our members of the Millikan family departing at 
the close of the year.  Best wishes to Nancy Parsons, Susan Halliburton, Gwen Gibson,
Mark Weisman, Belinda Holland, Michael Newton, Mariano Aranda, and Tom Arnot.
