Millikan
High School (located near El Dorado Park) is, in the words of the
school motto, the "Pathway to Excellence and Integrity."
Well-known throughout the community for high standards and achievement
in academics, Millikan is equally proud of its extra-curricular
activities program. The athletic, visual and performing arts
programs, as well as school interest clubs, provide opportunities
for our students to have a well-rounded educational experience.
All incoming students select smaller learning communities (academies)
to belong to based on their educational interests and choose
to wear a uniform. In addition, Millikan recently received a
$500,000 grant to help smaller learning communities' boost student
achievement. Millikan is very proud to report a 50-point gain
in the API Growth Report of 2003. Students and parents feel
a sense of academic challenge, confidence, and security at Millikan.
