Vision

STELLAR Academy Description
International Accelerated Core Curriculum and Enhanced Language Learning (IACCELL) is an accelerated academy for English-Language Learners and promotes continued education beyond high school. IACCELL academy students carry seven rather than six classes. The program exposes students to college and careers through a rigorous curriculum and serves levels 4 and 7 ELL students.

Goals
* To provide comprehensive support for ninth and tenth grade English-Language
* Learners who are transitioning to a rigorous high school academic program.
* To continue providing ELL tenth graders with challenging curriculum which prepares them for academic life at Millikan HS and for the Golden State Exams in math and science.
* To expose students to career and college options.
* To provide a curriculum which moves students to re-classification as Fluent-English Proficient (FEP)

Student eligibility requirements for the program are:

* Regular attendance
* Excellent or satisfactory conduct
* Self motivation and willingness to put forth extra effort
* Ability to work well with peers
* Completion of homework and classroom assignments on time
* Minimum “C+” average in academic classes
* ELL level requirement: Level 4-7
