How to Register with the NCAA Clearinghouse

Students who enroll as college freshmen and wish to participate in NCAA Division I, II or III athletics must be certified by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse. The academic standards include a high school diploma,  qualifying GPA and test scores, successful completion of approved courses and all other college minimum admissions requirement. It is the responsibility of the student to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse by the beginning of his/her senior year. To register, prospective students-athletes should access the registration materials by visiting the Clearinghouse web-site at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net.  At the home page, click on "Prospective Student-Athletes," which will link the student-athlete to the necessary information. Student Release Form

The Student Release Form is critical. By filling out completely and signing the form, you are authorizing each of the high schools you have attended to send your transcript, including test scores, proof of graduation, and other academic information, to the NCAA Clearinghouse. You also are authorizing the Clearinghouse to send this information to all colleges requesting your eligibility status. Follow the steps below to make sure the Clearinghouse receives your completed Student Release Form.

Step 1:  Fill out the Student Release Form (SRF) online at the NCAA Clearinghouse Web-site.

Step 2:  Read and follow all instructions when completing your SFR. Additional instructions have been included in applicable sections of the instructions.

Step 3: Print authorization form, Copy #1 and Copy #2 and give them to Mr. Vann. If you have attended any other high school(s) outside of the LBUSD, a copy of Copy #1 Authorization Form should be given to an official at that school.

 

Registration Fee

There is a $60 registration fee. Mr. Vann may waive the Clearinghouse fee if you have previously qualified for and received a waiver for the ACT or SAT fee.
