Public input is being sought on draft policy recommendations for improving social, economic and academic opportunities in North Long Beach. A town hall meeting is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17 at the Jordan High School Auditorium, 6500 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach.
The draft recommendations were developed with results of a community-wide survey completed by 1,000 respondents and from conversations with dozens of community members in focus groups conducted in the last two months.
Comments from the upcoming town hall will be incorporated in the final recommendations, to be presented to the Long Beach Unified School District's Board of Education in June.
