Infant Development Center

Cal-SAFE Infant/Toddler Program

The Infant/Toddler Program at Renaissance High School for the Arts provides care for approximately 60 infants and toddlers of eligible teenage parents who are completing their high school education. The center is open from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm during the traditional calendar school year.

For the parents attending high school classes, the program:

  • Provides a safe and loving environment;
  • Promotes physical growth and development;
  • Develops language and communication skills; and
  • Refines sensory motor skills.

For the parents attending high school classes, the program:

  • Provides teen parents with child care experiences and parent education in a supervised setting;
  • Encourages social interaction between teen parents and their children; and
  • Fosters good health and nutrition habits.
