Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) is prepared to implement comprehensive, integrated high school reforms to fulfill its commitment that all high school students will graduate prepared for higher education and work. The district is well positioned to meet this challenge after more than a decade of K-8 reforms that led to national recognition for increased student achievement. LBUSD is the 2003 national winner of the Broad Prize for Urban Education, which honors America’s best urban school district. The district’s practices are being showcased at national and regional conferences.
